Went to see Barb & Chelle, had the Everton v Sunderland match on as we were chatting.

Tuesday 26th January

Pam has been taken into hospital, nothing serious but will be having an op on Thursday, this was taken when we went to see Alison Moyet.

Monday 25th January

End of month looming so quite busy at work, got myself a diary block with a quote on each page, this one is my favourite up to now.

Sunday 24th January

Did a bit of shopping in the morning but weather awful so stuck in, watched a really good film 'An Education', well worth a look. Didn't take a photo today, this was taken yesterday.

Carvery is bargain of the year !! All lovely fresh veg and choice of turkey, ham and beef or a bit of everything, all very tasty.

Saturday 23rd January

Paul worked til 2pm, went to Parkgate for the carvery at The Quay, afterwards had a fab 1 and half walk on the Wirral Way.

The Twitchers were out in force on the estuary !!

Friday 22nd January

Paul off so cooked a tortilla, it was delightful.

I think this blog is getting too foody !!!

Thursday 21st January

Parked on library car park, whilst walking to the shops, came across our old car, still going strong ! I think we bought it early 1998.

Wednesday 20th January

In preparation for the weigh-in tomorrow, we walked to Morrisons instead of driving, a good 35 mins each way did us the world of good.

Tuesday 19th January

Bought a new cast iron casserole dish last night and Paul was dying to try it out, his first meal was a great success !!

Monday 18th January

Construction going on at West Cheshire College, it can be seen for miles !!

Sunday 17th January

Highlight of the day was my new MukLuk Fitflop Boots !! Enough said.

Saturday 16th January

Met our Dan & Lauren at my mums, Lauren is a delight, good as gold. Up to Parkgate for a good hour walk before the carvery at The Quay, made all healthy choices had loads of lovely veg and a pot of tea (get me!!)

Friday 15th January

Drove to work for first time this decade !! Nothing much going on, joined SW last night, signed up for 12 weeks so determined to get with it, went for an hour walk and then settled down to watch some TV with a nice cup of tea.

Thursday 14th January

Paul has forgotten what work is !!! Off all over Christmas and New year and been on stand-by with full pay since the 4th Jan!! (He did go in on the 7th and was stuck on a night out) He has been cooking some lovely stuff though, greeted with lobster and prawns tonight.

Wednesday 13th January

Snow back.......................... Really fed up of it now.

Tuesday 12th January

Stayed off work, had car MOT'd and then nails done, cooked some stuffed peppers with cous cous for tea and mine and Zena's lunch for tomorrow, they were delicious.

Monday 11th January

Nothing going on, can't even go for a walk because it's too slippy, looking at some places for a bit of early sun, Taba in Egypt looks nice.

Sunday 10th January

Chilled out all day as weather horrible, Paul cooked a ham and made lentil soup, watched 'Up in The Air', great film.

Saturday 9th January

Went to Halkyn for a nice walk in the snow, it was beautiful, stopped at the Plough on way home for lunch, home made asparagus soup was delicious, overheard the line of the year when some woman was leaving, she called to her friend to come round for tea as she still had some turkey left !!! Had a chat to Ken as he is going to Andorra tomorrow skiing, met Chelle in Morrisons then went home and watched a couple of episodes of Nurse Jackie, very enjoyable day and evening.

Friday 8th January

Its still all about the snow, constantly on the news and nothing else in the papers, at least we are get off work early !!

Thursday 7th January

Still loads of snow about, walked home from work, a few slips but not too bad, Paul on night out so just chilled watching TV.

Wednesday 6th January

Office closed. Trekked up to mums, called into Barbs on the way then stopped at Wirral Hundred on the way home for lunch, bumped into Ruth & Dave Thomas. Its starting to get really cold now and is predicted to freeze tonight.

Tuesday 5th January

Snow falling in earnest, nice to look at but a bit dodgy driving (not that I did!) This is Green Lane at 2.30pm.

Monday 4th January

Back to work, still got the sniffles, came home to Paul's lovely home-made soup, very warming.

Sunday 3rd January

Went for a very quick walk up to Jacks Wood, very cold, but warmed us up nicely.

Saturday 2nd January

Another lazy day, did a bit of shopping and cooked some nice food, came across this little fella in the garden.

Friday 1st January

Walked to Connie for car, a good hours walk, caught Paul's cold so we spent the afternoon snuggled up watching films, really enjoyed Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Case 39.

Thursday 31st December

New Years Eve - Spoke to Sean at 15.10 our time, he was just going outside for his New Year fireworks, Paul not feeling great , decided to go out and see how he was, ended up having a good time, our Dan picked us up after midnight, came home and watched a bit of Curb.

Wednesday 30th December

Back to work after a lovely christmas breakfast. Paul went out for breakfast with Dan & Lauren and took some lovely photos, Lauren is gorgeous.
