Tuesday 29th December

Did some shopping in Manchester, first visit to Primark ! Barb & I went on the Manchester Eye, this is Barb laughing at my fear of heights!!!

Monday 28th December

Off to Manchester to stay at The Palace Hotel, had a good walk around the city and a great laugh with Barb & Neil.

Sunday 27th December

Spent the day in Nantwich, had a laugh playing Outburst ! (I was on winning team) Quite a miserable day weather wise but very cosy by the fire.

Rosies friend Cathrine sent her some pressies from Burundi, where she is working at the moment, we all liked the idea of Obama Vodka.

Saturday 26th December

Boxing Day !!! Went over to Nantwich to stay at Jan & Gaz's house along with Ken, Lucy & Rosie. Started with a some delicious ham, cheese, bread, sausage rolls and black pudding followed by christmas cake all washed down with cava, delightful. On to the Alex v Rochdale game, it was 2 all but a very exciting match, back for some present opening then a wonderful salmon dish cooked by Jan & Rosie, a marvellous day had by all.

Friday 25th December

Christmas Day !!! Had a quiet but lovely lunch with Mum & Reg, spoke to Sean , he had been to an Italian restaurant for christmas lunch , dropped into Barbs to see if the gorgeous Charlie liked his pressie! Moved on to Jan & Franks and then home for midnight, all in all, a really nice day.

Thursday 24th December

Christmas Eve - finished work early and enjoyed some nibbles and cava, Ken & Paul joined us and then we went home to share a couple of pressies, Ken made up with his walkie talkies, which was great, had a drink with Pam & Jan at the Swan then called on Pam & Phil before seeing mum and Reg on the way to station to drop Ken off, Paul went out with Neil and I chilled out watching TV, lovely day.

Wednesday 23rd December

Paul's christmas pressie to himself was a new TV! Had a great evening, went to Barb's then on to Wirral Hundred for a drink with Ross & Sophia, added bonus of Jean & Arnie being there too, haven't seen them for at least 10 years so had a great catch up.

Tuesday 22nd December

Ken & Lucy arrived after being stuck on the plane for a couple of hours while the runway was cleared of ice so that the steps could be put into place, Lucy going to Crewe so had a quick drink in The Railway at Runcorn whilst waiting for the train.

Monday 21st December

Expecting Ken tonight, unfortunately his flight is cancelled due to the snow in Madrid, he is on same flight tomorrow so fingers crossed, put a ham in this morning in preparation of his visit!! This is 7.30am this morning, I am a domestic goddess !!!!

Sunday 20th December

Very cold today, managed to get a very quick walk in at Jacks Wood, then back to the fire!!

Saturday 19th December

Visited our Colette and the boys at their new house, the boys are lovely, they have loads of toys to play with but would rather raid the pan cupboard !!!

Friday 18th December

With the promise/threat of snow looming, brought back happy memories of Moel Famau a couple of years ago.

Thursday 17th December

Took mum shopping then back to work as short-staffed, put our trees up.

Wednesday 16th December

Ang's birthday on Friday, she is off that day so had a little celebration today.

Tuesday 15th December

Paul on night out so went to the Oaks for some christmas shopping, called into Pams for a gab on the way home then just chillaxed watching Die Hard 2 !!!

Monday 14th December

Christmas tree at work for the first time EVER !!! Ang was very excited, couldn't do anything with her all day.

Sunday 13th December

Duke of Welly for lunch, lamb and beef, delicious as usual, chilled out for rest of day as Paul was doing a night shift, stayed up til 1.00am watching Die Hard !!!

Saturday 12th December

Liverpool with Pam, Ego first for tea then over to the Phil to see Alison Moyet, she was fantastic, fab voice and amazing show, great night all round.

Friday 11th December

Went round to see Miss Mia as she had been a bit under the weather, got there at bath-time !!!

Thursday 10th December

Back to work, only me and Ze in again, loads to do so day went really quickly, went to Swan with the crossword for an aperitif before Pauls creation of minced lamb, aubergines and tomatos, no photo so this is last nights fajitas.

Wednesday 9th December

Had planned to celebrate Anne's 50th birthday with her but unfortunately she wasn't feeling well enough, as we had already decided to go out, myself, Jan and Pams went anyway.

Christmas menu was delightful.

Tuesday 8th December

Went to the Connie with Zena & John and Uncle John & Aunty Joan ! Joan is a good laugh, comes out with anything, Paul won a tin of salmon in the raffle so was made up.

Came across this holly bush whilst tidying the garden.

Monday 7th December

Stourport on Severn before we came home, shops were great, got some lovely meats and cheeses.

Sunday 6th December

Both off work so decided to go away overnight to Bewdley near Kiddiminster, the town was beautiful, stayed in a Wetherspoons lodge and it was fab, defo use them again.

Saturday 5th December

Went to Barbs for a drink and a gab, you know you're getting old when your friends have their own blood pressure tester machine !

Friday 4th December

Dan brought Lauren round for a visit, she is gorgeous, getting her own personality now, our Dan takes her taxi-ing with him !!

After roast duck yesterday, Paul wanted to make a cassoulet, duck, belly pork, toulouse sausage and haricot beans, it was delicious, a real winter comfort food.
