Sunday 4th April

Got the train to Liverpool, delicious meal at Bistro Jacques, called into Renshaws, great atmosphere even though it was Karaoke!, stopped at Punch & Judy for a last drink before getting train.

Saturday 3rd April

Hilbre Island at 11.00am, weather took a definate turn for the better, went to Chester afterwards for some new walking shoes then to The Wheatsheaf for a late carvery lunch. Lovely day.

Friday 2nd April

Good Friday.

At the top of Moel Famau at 10am !! Thought of giving up a few times as weather was wild, lady of my age ran past and inspired me to reach the top, glad I did, felt marvellous, coming down was almost as hard as going up.

Thursday 1st April

Nice relaxing day at work now that everything balanced, got a lovely egg from Andy, I shall give to my mum as she loves Thorntons chocolate and my hips don't ! Lost again at SW, coming off bit by bit.

Wednesday 31st March

This years Race for Life stuff came today, never had such a high number before !, determined to run it this year (or at least most of it)

Tuesday 30th March

Mad busy at work as year end tomorrow, everything looks fine though. Saving Grace back on in US last night, managed to get it today.

Monday 29th March

A bit stiff after yesterday, went up to gym for a sauna and steam. (Our steam room is not this posh, but does the job!)

Sunday 28th March

Clock forward, weather looked promising, met Jan & Gaz at Beeston Castle for a good walk along the Sandstone Trail, had a wonderful day then stopped for our little picnic, I had made chorizo & potato empanadas which were delicious, even if I say so myself!

Saturday 27th March

After our breakfast, went to buy Mia a couple of magazines, one had cards in so she thought she would send one to her mum, by the time she had finished licking the envelope the paper had disintergrated !! When Paul got home we went to Ashton Park which Mia loved.

Friday 26th March

Paul away again but had my little mate Mia to keep me company, loads of fun and kept me entertained all evening, hogged the bed as usual !!

Lost another 2 pounds !!! Slimmer of the week !

Another night alone, am becoming obsessed with this bloody game!!!

Tuesday 23rd March

Paul away, weather horrible, caught up on all the Emmerdale I had missed, nothing exciting happened.

Monday 22nd March

Out for tea with girls, TGI Fridays, wasn't really looking forward to it as not keen on TGI's but actually enjoyed the meal and the company was great as always.

Sunday 21st March

Parked at Hadlow Road and walked to Neston for Sunday lunch at the Brewers Arms, it was OK, wouldn't go back, watched a great film Un prophete, very thought provoking.

Saturday 20th March

Mums birthday, got her a LCD TV so went round to set it up, just chilled out in the afternoon as Paul had been away all week, had the Gold Cup winner yesterday so had a few bets and watched the racing.

Got a couple of lovely tops in Next, love this blue/purple mix for the spring.

Highlight of the day was staying the same at SW despite a weeks all inclusive !

Pulled into car-park to find Peter fast asleep , drive from Greasby must have taken it out of him !!

Visited Colette and the boys, Haydn and Lucas are lovely, good as gold.

Monday 15th March

Back to work, took Zena to Morrisons for lunch to get over the stress of the previous week whilst I was away, she had fish, chips and mushy peas which looked delicious, I made do with baked potato and beans in the hope of not getting too much of a fright at SW on Thursday !!

Sunday 14th March

Got home at 2 this morning after a little delay, dropped some flowers and chocolates at my mums, this was our last meal in Egypt at a place called Fatima's.

Saturday 13th March

Leaving today so had one last paddle in the Red Sea and met these two little fellas.

Friday 12th March

Boat trip to Ras Mohamed, underwater National Park, the coral was amazing, it was a great day out, seen some beautiful fish and loads of dolphins.

Thursday 11th March

Spent another relaxing day around the resort, didn't see any Egyptian woman anywhere, all work done by men, our cleaner was very handy with the towels!

Wednesday 10th March

Full year gone by, Big romantic that he is - Paul booked to go star-gazing in the desert on a camel, not as comfy as they look !!!

Tuesday 9th March

Shark Bay resort where we stayed had this great place called Soho Square right next to it, gorgeous shops and bars, Ice Bar - everthing was ice including the furniture ! They give you a big coat to wear when you get in there.

Monday 8th March

Chilled out by beach in the morning, getting hotter by the minutes, went to Naama Bay in the evening, hated it, hassle everywhere you go.

Sunday 7th March

First proper look at Red Sea, it was amazing, the fish so colourful and the sea itself was like a bath, loving the snorkelling.

Saturday 6th March

Early start, flying at 9.00am, good flight and landed in a very hot Egypt which was lovely, resort great, room lovely, veiw from room fab.

Friday 5th March

Had plates put on my car - highlight of the day !!

Zena has reminded me that I also cooked a lovely Moroccan Lamb with Minted Cous Cous fromm the SW recipe book.

Thursday 4th March

Paul away so just ironed, packed and got everything ready for Saturday then chilled out with a film, Sunshine Cleaning, it was quite good.

Wednesday 3rd March

Busy getting organised for week off, went for a Oaks for coffee with Andy after work.

Tuesday 2nd March

Went round to see Pam for a gab and to pick up some Avon stuff, early night with my book.

Monday 1st March

Had th afternoon off, Paul and I walked to Parkgate along the Wirral Way, had a late lunch/early tea at The Quay then walked home, both falling asleep by 8 o'clock !!

Sunday 28th February

Walked to Hooton for car - called to Barbs and spent some time with the beautiful Charlie, he is so friendly, coming on great, weighed a ton !!

Saturday 27th February

Went to Liverpool with Barb, Neil, Jan & Frank to meet some german friends of Neils, bumped into Andy & Lesley in The Phil and had a great night, ate at Valparaiso then on to the to The Crocodile til 2, had a dance and a good laugh.

I think this photo is really effective.

Friday 26th February

Had breakfast for tea ! Got some delicious sausages from Muffs, a butcher in Bromborough, slight mis-hap at Hooton roundabout caused me to get to Bromborough via Birkenhead - don't ask.

Thursday 25th February

SW with Pam, lost another 2 and half pounds, really pleased with that.

Wednesday 24th February

Went up to pool for a swim on my own as Paul on nights, had a really good swim and a session in the sauna, came home totally invigorated.

Drove my car for first time. (Put wrong photo on but don't know how to change it !!)

Tuesday 23rd February

Weather took a nasty turn again, snow when we got up but had disappeared by lunch, haven't driven Golf yet.

Monday 22nd February

Found a great new series from US, Better off Ted, really funny, Portia de Rossi is ace.

Sunday 21st February

Slept like a log, Paul went into work for a few hours, when he came home we went to Meols for a walk along the front, walked up to New Brighton, it was extremely cold walking back, had to borrow Paul's coat, glad we had some bovril in the car.

Saturday 20th February

Had a great walk around Delamere, Kelsall and Primrose Hill, it was 10 miles up hill and down dale, was really feeling the last mile until I heard that the Mighty Blues had beaten Man U 3-1, put a real spring into my step.

Walked to Wethers for a mixed grill and a glass of red.

Friday 19th February

Walked to Morrisons, came home for a couple of G and T's and had early night, big walk planned for tomorrow, made some kebabs for our picnic.

Thursday 18th February

Took this photo 28th March but thought I had lost it til last week.

Wednesday 17th February

Went shopping for rucksacks in readiness for our walking regime.

Also picked up my new car.

Tuesday 16th February

After enjoying last weekends walk on the Sandstone Trail, bought a book of 13 circular walks for future, hoping to start on Saturday.

Monday 15th February

Prezzo for tea with the girls, forgot camera but this what I ate.

Sunday 14th February

Woke up with very stiff legs !! Decided to walk stiffness off at West Kirby, had a good 2 hour walk along the dunes and red rocks, felt great afterwards, went up to gym for a steam and swim, an early night will be very welcome.
